Learning American Sign Language (ASL) is an inclusive channel for communication that can help our community become more connected. I believe ASL should be introduced at an early age as sign language does not only benefit hearing-impaired individuals, normalizing a secondary language during earlier stages of development can improve language skills, encourage thought, and reduce frustration for verbal communication.

 

The idea behind illustrating an alphabet book was to help people take the first step in breaking language barriers.
